Darner
Socks
During the Civil War, a group of women were enlisted in the military to repair (or darn) soldiers’ damaged socks after battles. Nicknamed “Darners”, these courageous women served as the inspiration for our newest accessory obsession, designer Roxanna Sternerud’s luxury intimates line Darner Socks.
Inspired by late 19th century hosiery, Sternerud’s designs update the classic knit sock with prints and patterns, neons and pastels, an updated cut and materials like velvet and mesh. The results are highly unique and wearable statement stockings – the kind of pieces you see in fashion editorials and think will be impossible to find (or will break the bank). We especially like wearing them for a cheeky pop of color with a pantsuit, to give a sexy pair of sandals a bit of edge... or to moonwalk with on tiktok.

WHY WE LOVE IT:
Designed and manufactured in small quantities in Los Angeles (yay local!), the socks are designed with a unique cut and sew method meant to lengthen the appearance of legs by creating leading lines beginning at the foot.
